Key Highlights

• The "Budget" AI Phone: Because it uses the A18 chip and 8GB of RAM, the 16e supports all Apple Intelligence features, such as Writing Tools, Image Wand, and the updated Siri, at a much lower price than the Pro models.

• Apple-Designed C1 Modem: This was the first iPhone to feature Apple's own in-house 5G modem. While it doesn't support mmWave, it is highly power-efficient, contributing to the device's record-breaking battery life for its size.

• The Action Button: Surprisingly, Apple included the customizable Action Button on the 16e, replacing the traditional mute switch. However, it does not include the Camera Control button found on the standard iPhone 16.

• Single-Lens Simplicity: To keep costs down, there is no Ultra Wide lens. Instead, the 48MP main sensor uses "Fusion" technology to provide high-quality 2x crops that look like they came from a dedicated telephoto lens.

• Notch Design: Unlike the Dynamic Island found on the rest of the 16 and 17 series, the 16e retains the classic "notch" for Face ID, similar to the iPhone 14.
